Why Waist Tattoos are the New Trend That You Cant Ignore

Waist Tattoos Small

Nostalgia has dominated the cultural conversation as of late, influencing everything from TV show reboots and modern film adaptations to fashion trends and makeup looks. Apparently, tattoos are no exception to this retro revival, with modern ink lovers finding inspiration in designs of the '90s and early 2000s.

I think nostalgia is currently a prominent theme in tattooing. Much like in fashion right now, it seems like a lot of the imagery that was considered 'trashy' when it emerged now has a chic, modern feel to it, tattoo artist David Bernier told Byrdie.

The

This definitely seems to be the case with lower back tattoos, informally known as tramp stamps, which are the newest-old tattoo trend appearing on our social media feeds. While these pieces have been negatively associated with promiscuity (hence the name), Gen Z is embracing all the kitschy aspects of Y2K style by bringing them back into fashion. Check out some of our favorite tattoo designs for tramp stamp inspiration.

Red Tattoos Are The Newest Body Art Trend

You won't be able to scroll through a tramp stamp hashtag without spotting quite a few Cyber Sigilism designs. If you're unfamiliar, this is a popular but controversial style of tattoo that's defined by its jagged, abstract lines. Critics of Cyber Sigilism,  also known as neo-tribal, see it as an extension of culturally appropriative tribal tattoos that were previously super popular.

While we do find some of these tramp stamps super cute, such as the bat-winged heart design shown off by @hurts.l3ut.so.good,  the criticisms of this tattoo style are worth considering before committing to a permanent tattoo.

Butterfly motifs were super popular back in the '90s, appearing on everything from hair clips to body jewelry. With the resurgence of the tramp stamp, it seems that this design is also becoming trendy again.

Tramp Stamps & Other 90s Tattoos Are Back In Style

In this way, you can take inspiration from pop icon Mariah Carey by incorporating the '90s butterfly motif into your own lower back tattoo. For such a piece, you could go hyper-realistic and detailed, cute and cartoony, or even spikey and simple like the tattoo shown off by @liochyuu.

Similar to the rise of butterfly motifs, barbed wire designs are another staple of the '90s that are coming back into fashion alongside lower-back tattoos. As mentioned by David Bernier in Byrdie,  these pieces were popularized by Pamela Anderson, who committed to a barbed-wire armband during the filming of the movie Barb Wire.

While Anderson eventually got her own tattoo removed, that hasn't stopped celebrities and tattoo lovers from re-embracing barbed wire designs. As an example, we love the symmetrical simplicity of the piece featured by @sequoiarosetattoo.

Nostalgia often has us turning to childhood franchises and favorites to reminisce about simpler times. When tattoo designs inspired by these classic cartoons or old toys are combined with the '90s and Y2K nostalgia of lower back tattoos, the resulting piece can look like an epic combination of nostalgia on nostalgia.

For instance, we love the tattoo highlighted by @pinkat.rabiscadora,  which features a tramp stamp of the Barbie logo surrounded by cartoony flowers. Not only does this cute design remind us of our childhood, but it's also pretty timely with the upcoming release of Greta Gerwig's live-action Barbie movie.

Flower designs never seem to go out of style, which makes them great contenders for lower back tattoos. When it comes to this pattern, there are lots of different art styles to choose from, ranging from watercolor and abstract to hyper-detailed and traditional American.

Fall Tattoo Trends: Lower Back Tattoos

Personally, we're big fans of the tramp stamp shown off by @sklaw_, which depicts folk-style flowers in orange and red. The color scheme reminds us of classic '70s patterns, which makes the overall design even more appealing.

Another modern rendition of the resurging tramp stamps features simple text phrases in stylized fonts. While sayings and phrases are nothing new in tattoo designs, they seem to be especially popular right now for lower-back tattoos. This makes them a great option for your own tattoo design.

The piece featured in the Instagram post from @pixi.tt is a great example of stylish, but simple tramp stamps featuring text. We love the gothic font used for the phrase, which reads made with love, and gives the tattoo an edgy vibe.Who likes the dark spots on the side of the eyes? If one resorts to expensive cosmetic products to get rid of them, one tries home remedies like rubbing potato peels. However, women in Brazil are crossing all limits to hide the ‘dark circle’. They are tattooing a skin-colored tattoo around the eyes, so that one does not get a clutter of dark circles.

Tattoo techniques that cover the ‘dark circle’ are the brainchild of Brazilian famous tattoo artist Rodolfo Torridge. With the help of a tattoo gun, he sprinkles a special ink with a color that matches the client’s skin on the side of the eye. Due to this, the ‘dark circles’ are covered, as well as the spots and spots of wrinkles are also not visible to the front.

According to Rodolfo, the ink used in tattoos settles under the outer layer of the skin. It plays the role of a wall between the outer layer and the chemicals that surround dark circles. This does not affect the effect of these chemicals on the skin and ‘dark circles’ remain away.

Rodolfo claimed that the ink used in the tattoo is completely safe. It is enough for a customer to come to the parlor only once to get a tattoo of it. However, she may have to maintain makeup for a few days.

Enveloping technique was also introduced – Rodolfo has made headlines earlier by inventing ‘Stretch Mark’ enveloping technique. In fact, men often complain of ‘stretch marks’ emerging after fat loss and women giving birth to an infant. With the help of Rodolfo ‘Airgun’, the ‘stretch mark’ stripes are filled with the skin colored ink of the customer. This causes the ‘stretch mark’ skin color to dissolve so much that it does not even feel inking.

, people are resorting to video calls not only to get a glimpse of their loved ones, but also to organize an office meeting. However, people in the house do not feel like being dressed all the time. Due to increasing work habits, they do not even have time for makeup. In such a situation, an American company has introduced a ‘virtual makeup’ app, which will help to show themselves as attractive on video calls by wearing facial makeup.

Occur – ‘Dark circle’ is one of the most common problems, the main reason being the age of falling, lack of sleep, fatigue and the use of the screen for several hours continuously.

Post pregnancy, women are left with stretch marks and bodies that have changed forever. Those who go through C-section are also left with scars from the clinical procedure. Women are now opting to cover up these marks by getting inked. And tattoo artistes are coming up with impressive designs to help them do so. If you have it, flaunt it seems to be a mantra that’s got both mothers and tattoo artistes on the same page.

J’son D’souza, owner of Tatau Tattoo & Piercing Studio, says, “On an average, we get at least one or two requests for C-section cover-up tattoos. The cost can be Rs 5, 000 onwards. Each session can last for two-to-three hours depending on the area to be worked on.” He shares that apart from C-section tattoos, they also get enquiries from people who have marks on their wrists and arms due to harming themselves. He adds, “In addition to C-section cover-up tattoos, a lot of women also want to get inked on intimate body parts.”

Female Tattoo 2023

When it comes to C-section cover-up tattoos, designs with stick figures are in, and so are floral and paisley patterns. Celebrity tattoo artist Vikas Malani shares, “Some are uncomfortable with the scars, others just want to cover it. Hence, disguising these scars works for them. They opt for designs that not only conceal these marks but also cleverly disguises them with intricate designs and floral art as well as patterns.”

He adds, “Sometimes after a C-section, women are left with cuts that have been badly stitched, which makes the area appear uneven and bumpy. In such cases, before getting a tattoo done, we ask them to approach a cosmetologist who can even out the surface. It’s a challenge to work on these scars and it takes time to cover them as they vary from person to person.”

Ivy tattoos, floral and paisley art along with Filigree bands are some of the most popular designs that women opt for to cover these horizontal cuts. Vikas says he classifies C-section cover-up tattoos as clinical tattoos, which are a result of any kind of surgery. With women over 30 opting for them, these can cost `30, 000 onwards depending on the volume of work to be done and the tattoo’s intricate design and detail.
